Day 4: Snow, please come!

Let it snow. Let it snow.

How far will my children go?

Spoons under the pillow may do the trick.

The big question is will the snow stick.

As the storm fast approaches, the stakes become higher.

Leaving nothing to chance, my kids hatch a plan.

Flush ice cubes down the can.

The buzz grows with more talk of winter storm warnings and pending delays.

What else can be done to ensure a well-deserved snow day?

Throwing ice at a tree!

Screaming and running around the kitchen yelling “snow”!

Whatever else they may try.

We will surely a wait, hoping that mother nature will oblige.

The following poem is inspired from listening to my creative children talk about a snowstorm forecasted for later tonight.
